Standout crutches was started by Alwyn Blayse, a physiotherapist who works every day with people who have mobility challenges.

“People who have disabilities don’t want to be defined by their disability. They want to be seen as individuals, not “that person with the crutches. My intention in starting this company was to provide the chance for an individual to show off their personality. Crutches are for people to stand up with. Our designer walking aids are for people who want to stand out.”

Standout Crutches is run by a  physiotherapy business based in south-east Queensland. We’re family owned and Australian owned. We’re always charity minded. Alwyn is a Wish Granter for the Starlight Children’s Foundation www.starlight.org.au . And both Alwyn and his wife, Joanne, run a charity for horse welfare, Charlie’s Angels Horse Rescue www.charliesangels.org.au
